1.a Exactly what does it look like?

3D Mini Me's stand about 12 cm tall (5 Inches). They have a head to body proportion of about 1:3, giving them a playful look. They can typically stand on its own, except certain models which due to position and design require a small base. Their head is made of polymer clay and the body is made of hard resin.

The heads posses a silky finish, with especially made eyes. Bodies have delicately finished parts and props. They are also relatively heavy. All these elements combine into a high quality item.

1.b Does the figurine require special care?

Your 3D Mini Me will be manufactured with poly-clay and put through a lacquering process. It will not be susceptible to mild heat or water. Care should be taken with delicate parts such as fingers, which can brake on hard impact. When dusty, the figurine can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth, and dry with a similar one. It’s recommended not to keep under direct sunlight to avoid color fading.

The 3D Mini Me is not an action figure or a toy. It is not recommended for children of less than 7 to play with the figurine as small parts can become loose.

1.c What level of resemblance can I expect?

Your 3D Mini Me is hand-made to portray a caricaturesque image of the person, therefore, it will not be an identical or life-like portrait. However, our highly skilled artisans (typically professional clay mini-sculptors and molding masters) are 100% focused on the production of the face, given our innovative production process which will guarantee a unique and high quality product.

Resemblance varies between 70% and 99% and great part of it depends on the quality of pictures that you submit to us.

1.d How Creative can I be with my design?

We will minimize virtually any human character in any position as long as you provide us with a clear and accurate photo of what you want. We will reproduce gestures and clothing, but have a limited amount of props. In the case of Second Life avatars, we will evaluate on a case by case basis. Characters need to be human, and features such as wings, will not be reproduced. Fantasy characters that don't have a human body and head will not be reproduced.

1.e How much do the figurines cost?

Prices will vary depending on the type and model of your figurine. To see models and prices, follow the Products & Prices button on the main navigation at the top of the page.

1.f Can I make a … car, guitar, dog, chair, etc?

The answer is YES. We can make most pets, create faithful or cartoonish replicas of cars, and can add accessories like guitars, sports items and other props to your figurine. Prices for these are quoted separately based on estimated time and effort.

1.g Can I make a background scene for the figurines?

Yes, we can make backgrounds like walls, gardens, gazebos, lounge sets, to place the figurines in a scene. Prices are quoted based on your requests.

1.h What if you don't have the design I want to make?

Then we can make it just for you. As long as you have photos of the design you want, we can make it. We call these Fully Customized figurines.

 

2.a Is there a discount for large orders?

Yes. Orders above 15 units will be considered large and are subject to price and shipping cost discounts. These will be dealt with on an individual basis.

2.b How long does it take to receive my 3D Mini Me?

This will depend on the type of figurine you have requested. If you have ordered a pre-made body from our catalogue, you should expect to receive your order in 10 working days.

In case of a fully customized figurine, and due to our exclusive shaping and re-molding process where we produce an entirely new mold for a single one off body, we must ask that you wait 1 month.

The process is similar to creating a mold for a mass produced item, except this mold will only be used once, just for you.

2.c Can you deliver to any country?

We deliver to ALL countries, including difficult places like US military bases in Afganistan. In our years of operation, we're still to find a place where we cannot ship!

2.d What are the shipping costs?

We have a flat shipping cost of 20 USD per figurine to every country in the world. There is a likely discount to this cost on orders above 8 units which we're happy to transfer to you as a buyer once we can confim it with the courier.

 

3.a What is the required picture quality?

3.b How many pictures are needed?

Ideally, you should submit no less than 4 pictures: Front, left side, right side and back. Here's how the resemblance of a Mini Me follows the pictures you send:

Only picture from the front: resemblance will be medium to ok
Pictures from the front and sides: resemblance will be ok to very good
Pictures from all 4 angles: resemblance will be from very good to excellent, its worth the effort!

 

4.a What is your guarantee?

We guarantee that the figurine will arrive within the indicated time and with no damage and that it will be manufactured based on the submitted picture and specifications.

4.b What is your return policy?

Goods that arrive damaged, with broken parts or with clear mistake made from our side will be replaced.
